Fanshawe Street, Auckland
The proposed scheme consists of 2 main office blocks. They are connected by a covered atrium, spanning on east-west axis. The propose building is designed with the intention to achieve 6 green star rating. Three separate entries on three different levels are proposed (GF – Fanshawe St corner, L1 – paper road walkway, L3 – Hardinge St corner). Each one of them leads into a spacious entry foyer, extending and connecting to create a big, open volume spanning over three stories along the entire eastern side of the building.
This function is mirrored on the outside of the building by a series of landscaped platforms, interconnected by walkways and stairs. This space will serve as an upgraded public walkway and landscaped area. It is the intention that during operating hours, both interior and exterior links will be available for public use. The walkway will be designed to have platforms of arrival point into the building. There will be just 1 sheet of glass separating the inside to the outside all the way up from Fanshawe to Hardinge St.
